La Liga Race Still On
With the season entering the closing stages, this month’s El Clasico could well prove defining for both sides in their battle for the title as Madrid head to the Camp Nou for a tasty looking encounter. While Barcelona appear to have figured out how to beat this Real team, the pressure of the occasion makes this match impossible for punters who bet on sport to call. It looks as though it is Barcelona who have the easier run in than Real, who have to soccer games at Osasuna, Bilbao and Granada, as well as the small matter of the Madrid derby against Atletico. With a number of tough looking away matches, Mourinho will know how important it will be to win every home game. That will be a lot easier said than done however, with tricky clashes against Valencia, Sporting and Sevilla all to come for Mourinho’s men, who are looking to win their first La Liga title since 2008. It would be a massive blow to the club if they failed to secure the title after topping the league for so much of the year. If any team are going to be able to produce a stunning end to the season, then it looks as though Barcelona are going to be that team. |
